The TN-G4516-8GPoE-2XGPoE-2XGTXBP-WV-T is a rugged EN 50155-compliant Layer 2 managed switch built for rolling stock and wayside railway networks. With its robust M12 connectors and extended -40 to 70°C temperature tolerance, the switch is engineered to withstand vibration, shock, dust, and power fluctuations common in demanding railway environments.
This model integrates 2× 10G PoE ports, 2× 10G copper ports with bypass relay, 8× Gigabit PoE ports, and 4× Gigabit copper ports, enabling flexible, high-bandwidth deployments. Supporting IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+, each powered port can supply up to 30 W, with a 120 W total budget to power cameras, wireless access points, and other IP devices. The bypass relay on the 10G copper interfaces ensures critical network continuity in the event of power failures.
Dual 24–110 VDC isolated power inputs provide redundancy, while compliance with EN 50121-4, IEC 61373, and EN 45545-2 guarantees full EMI/EMS immunity, vibration/shock durability, and fire safety. The IP40-rated housing enhances protection for railway and industrial installations.
Advanced redundancy is supported via Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain, offering recovery under 50 ms for large networks, with full STP/RSTP/MSTP compatibility. Enhanced security comes standard with TACACS+, RADIUS, HTTPS, SSH, and IEEE 802.1X port authentication. Comprehensive management tools such as SNMPv3, RMON, LLDP, and VLAN help operators simplify configuration and monitoring.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
