The ADAM-518E is a 24-channel Ethernet thermocouple input module designed for industrial temperature monitoring applications that need high-density measurement, network connectivity and simplified Ethernet deployment. It provides 24 differential and independently configurable thermocouple input channels, helping reduce the number of modules required for multi-point temperature acquisition across machines, process equipment, environmental systems and industrial facilities.
Unlike the RS-485 ADAM-518 version, the ADAM-518E uses a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet interface and supports ADAM ASCII and Modbus/TCP communication. This makes it suitable for systems that need direct Ethernet integration with SCADA platforms, industrial PCs, monitoring software, data acquisition systems or networked automation infrastructure. The datasheet lists 10/100 Mbps Ethernet speeds and a 100 metre Ethernet segment length, with network distance extendable using Ethernet switches.
A major benefit of the ADAM-518E is its dual LAN design. The two LAN ports support Ethernet daisy-chain connection, helping simplify cabinet wiring and reduce the need for additional network switches. The auto-bypass function helps keep the network connection active during power loss, reducing the risk of communication interruption across downstream devices and supporting easier maintenance in operational environments.
The module also includes built-in Graphic Condition Logic, allowing simple control logic to run directly on the module without relying on a PLC or PC for basic local actions. This is useful for temperature monitoring applications where local threshold logic, simple decision-making or immediate response behaviour is required.
Thermocouple support includes K, J, T, E, N, R, S and B types, with configuration handled through ADAM Utility. The module provides 16-bit resolution, 20 MΩ input impedance, ±0.5°C CJC sensor accuracy and a 10/100/160 SPS sampling rate. It supports 10V to 30V DC input, reverse voltage protection, watchdog support, ESD, EFT and surge protection, and 3,000V DC isolation. With -10°C to 70°C operation, DIN-rail or wall mounting, and FCC, CE, RoHS, REACH and WEEE approvals, the ADAM-518E is a flexible Ethernet thermocouple module for modern industrial monitoring systems.

When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
