The Moxa BXP-C101-C5-S1-T is a fanless compact box computer powered by the Intel Core 5-120U processor and equipped with two software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports. Positioned between the Core 3 and Core 7 models in the BXP-C101 Series, it provides additional processor capability while retaining the same compact industrial architecture, flexible storage and wide operating temperature range. The Intel Core 5-120U features ten cores, 12MB Intel Smart Cache and a 1.4GHz frequency.
The computer is supplied with 8GB DDR4 system memory, with a single SODIMM slot allowing expansion up to 32GB. Storage flexibility is provided by one CFast slot using SATAIII and an M.2 M-Key 2242 socket using PCIe Gen4 x4. This dual-storage architecture is accessible through a removable cover intended to simplify storage installation and maintenance. An mPCIe expansion interface provides an additional route for integrating communications or application-specific hardware.
The BXP-C101-C5-S1-T provides two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with built-in 1.5kV magnetic isolation protection. Six USB connections are included, comprising four USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces support external displays. The two DB9 serial ports can each be software configured for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485, providing flexibility when interfacing with legacy or industrial equipment.
Supported software includes Windows 11 Professional, Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021, with Linux driver support for Debian 13, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and RHEL 9. TPM 2.0 hardware security is integrated into the platform.
The system operates from 12/24VDC and is specified for temperatures from -30°C to +70°C. Its metal IP20 enclosure is supplied with wall-mounting hardware, while optional DIN-rail mounting allows alternative installation. The BXP-C101-C5-S1-T is therefore a strong mid-range configuration for projects requiring Intel Core 5 processing together with conventional industrial serial connectivity.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
