The EDS-4014 Series raises edge-to-core performance with four 1 Gbps SFP uplinks and two 2.5 Gbps SFP ports for higher-bandwidth camera and backbone segments, alongside eight 10/100 copper access ports for local devices. Designed for demanding applications—video surveillance, process networks, ITS and substation comms—the switches combine high throughput with carrier-grade resilience. Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain deliver recovery in < 20 ms across 250 switches (< 50 ms when links are ≥ 1 Gbps), while standards-based RSTP/MSTP, MRP and LACP ensure interoperable redundancy and link aggregation.
Security aligns to IEC 62443-4-2 (SL2) with HTTPS/SSH, 802.1X, ACLs, DHCP snooping, broadcast-storm protection, MAC controls and login policy enforcement. MXstudio simplifies day-to-day operations, plus SNMPv1/v2c/v3, LLDP, RMON, syslog, SPAN/RSPAN and fibre diagnostics. OT integration includes EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and PROFINET Device, and hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP supports utility and rail timing profiles (IEC 61850-9-3, IEEE C37.238, Default 2008).
Platform resources feature a 16K MAC table, 1 MB packet buffer, 9,216-byte jumbo frames, 4 quality of service queues, 256 VLANs and IGMP snooping/querier. Power options cover LV dual 12/24/48 VDC (operating 9.6–60 VDC) or HV single 110/220 VDC/VAC (operating 88–300 VDC / 85–264 VAC), with overload and reverse-polarity protection. The compact IP40 metal enclosure (55 × 140 × 122.5 mm) supports DIN-rail or wall mounting. Environmental ratings include -10 to 60°C (standard) or -40 to 75°C (-T wide-temp). Approvals span EN 50121-4, IEC 61850-3 / IEEE 1613, maritime (LV models) and hazardous-location certifications on LV variants, making EDS-4014 an adaptable, security-hardened choice for industrial backbone

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

WMG, University of Warwick’s Intelligent Vehicles research group works with a variety of industrial partners to address challenges presented by the concept of autonomous vehicles. Operating within this department is a multi-million pound funded project ‘Cloud assisted real time methods for autonomy’ (CARMA), working in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover and EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council).
