The EDS-405A-PTP Series brings precise time synchronisation to compact, entry-level managed switching. With hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP, these switches help align clocks across distributed controllers, I/O and data-acquisition devices, reducing jitter and improving event correlation for time-critical automation. Five 10/100Base-T(X) copper ports provide dependable connectivity, while Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain deliver sub-20 ms recovery (at up to 250 switches) to keep production running. Standards-based RSTP/STP and ring coupling ensure flexible redundancy in mixed-vendor networks.
Traffic can be segmented and prioritised with IGMP snooping for multicast control, IEEE 802.1Q and port-based VLAN, QoS (IEEE 802.1p/ToS), bandwidth management and port mirroring for online diagnostics. Management fits your workflow: intuitive web GUI, CLI, Telnet/serial console, Windows utility, plus ABC-01 for fast configuration backup and restore. SNMPv1/v2c/v3, RMON and syslog simplify fleet-wide monitoring and alerting.
Industrial design features include dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs (9.6–60 VDC operating range) with reverse-polarity and overload protection, an alarm relay output for panel signalling, and rugged IP30 metal housing for DIN-rail or wall mounting. Choose from standard or extended-temperature variants to match cabinet-based or harsh-environment deployments.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

The requirement of the project was to provide an interoperability between tactical radios in a military environment previously not achievable due to limitations of hardware and budget constraints.
