The EDS-611 is a compact, modular managed Ethernet switch designed for industrial networks that require flexibility, redundancy, and robust performance. It offers a total of 11 ports, comprising up to 8 Fast Ethernet ports provided via modular slots and three built-in Gigabit combo ports (RJ45/SFP).
The modular design allows hot-swappable interface modules, enabling copper and fibre combinations to be tailored to different applications. Supported modules include standard Fast Ethernet, fibre optic, bypass, and IEEE 1588 PTP-enabled variants. With this versatility, the EDS-611 can be deployed as a backbone or edge switch in automation, transportation, or critical infrastructure networks.
Redundancy is delivered by Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain technologies (<20 ms recovery across 250 nodes), along with RSTP, STP, and MSTP for standards-based resilience. Security features include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, HTTPS, SSH, and SNMPv3, providing multiple layers of protection. Traffic optimisation is supported by VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and LACP port trunking, ensuring reliable performance in bandwidth-intensive environments.
Certified to EN 50121-4 for railway applications, UL 508 for industrial safety, and Class I, Division 2/ATEX for hazardous locations, the EDS-611 is engineered to perform reliably in challenging industrial environments. It is housed in a rugged, IP30-rated, DIN-rail mountable enclosure. It operates within a temperature range of 0 to 60°C, making it a practical solution for factory automation, process control, ITS, and energy networks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
