The EDS-616 is a compact, modular managed switch designed for industrial networks requiring flexible port combinations and robust redundancy. It supports up to 16x Fast Ethernet ports using four modular slots, with options for copper, fibre, bypass, and IEEE 1588 PTP modules.
Hot-swappable CM-600 modules enable flexible copper/fibre combinations, allowing for maintenance without downtime. The switch supports redundancy via Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery for 250 switches), along with RSTP, STP, and MSTP. Advanced Layer 2 features, including VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, port trunking, and port mirroring, make it suitable for automation backbones.
Security and management are covered with IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, HTTPS, SSH, and SNMPv3. Device visibility is simplified with MXstudio, CLI, Telnet, and ABC-01 backup tools. Industrial protocol support includes EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and transparent PROFINET.
Certified to EN 50121-4 for railway, ATEX and Class I Div 2 for hazardous areas, and maritime standards (ABS, DNV-GL, LR, NK), the EDS-616 is built for tough conditions. It is housed in an IP30-rated DIN-rail/wall-mountable enclosure, powered by redundant 12/24/48 VDC inputs, and operates within a temperature range of 0 to 60°C.
With its modular design, hot-swappable media options, and robust redundancy features, the EDS-616 is an ideal choice for factory automation, transportation, and critical infrastructure networks.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
