The Advantech EKI-2728I-D is the wide-temperature variant of the EKI-2728 Series, designed for rugged deployments where reliable Gigabit Ethernet is required in extreme environments. Featuring 8x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation, it ensures fast, stable networking for data-intensive industrial systems.
This switch supports jumbo frames up to 9 KB, making it suitable for high-bandwidth applications such as machine vision, security monitoring, and SCADA backbone networking. To ensure system resilience, it offers dual redundant 12–48 VDC power inputs, an alarm relay output for event notifications, and integrated protection against reverse polarity and overload current.
Housed in a slim, durable IP30 metal case, the EKI-2728I-D is compact enough for confined spaces and can be DIN-rail or wall-mounted for flexible installation. LED indicators allow easy monitoring of port activity and status, simplifying on-site management.
Unlike the standard model, the EKI-2728I-D is engineered for wide-temperature operation, from -40°C to +75°C, making it ideal for outdoor enclosures, remote substations, transport infrastructure, and other harsh environments where reliability is critical.
With its rugged design, long MTBF rating, and compliance with international industrial standards, the EKI-2728I-D ensures high-availability Gigabit connectivity in the most demanding industrial applications.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
