The EKI-7708E-4FP supports 4x 10/100 Power-over-Ethernet 802.3 af/at and 4x SFP (mini-GBIC) ports. It can provide up to 30W per port (120W total budget) to fulfil high-power-consumption power device requirements. It is also embedded with Advantech's IXM function which can benefit users with fast deployment and can dramatically save engineers time and costs. The EKI-7708E-4FP series also supports NMS to help with networking maintenance and failure prevention.

Finally, the EKI-7708E-4FP series is equipped with X-Ring Pro which can achieve ultra-high-speed recovery time of less than 20ms to ensure network stability. The switch also features an extended -40°C to +75°C operating temperature (EKI-7708E-4FPI) and NEMA TS2 rating, making the switch an ideal solution for use in traffic applications and has successfully passed the EN 50121-4 European railway standard requirements of emissions and immunity for railway platforms and trackside deployment.
