The Advantech MIC-712P-ON2A1 is a compact NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano edge AI system configured with 4GB LPDDR5 memory, 128GB NVMe storage and NVIDIA JetPack 6.2. It provides an integrated platform for AI inference, video analytics and intelligent edge applications where local processing and direct PoE connectivity are required within a small embedded system. The MIC-712P-ON range supports NVIDIA Super Mode with AI performance of up to 67 TOPS.
The 4GB configuration uses a six-core NVIDIA Arm Cortex-A78AE v8.2 64-bit CPU together with a 512-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU incorporating 16 Tensor Cores. This is paired with 4GB LPDDR5 memory, providing a lower-memory option within the MIC-712P-ON family while retaining the same compact system architecture and broad range of I/O connectivity.
Networking is a key feature of the system. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports are supplemented by six Gigabit PoE interfaces, allowing compatible cameras and network devices to be powered and connected directly to the MIC-712P-ON2A1. The PoE interfaces can be controlled individually and provide a total system power budget of up to 150W. Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports are also provided for high-speed peripheral connectivity, while HDMI supports display output up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz.
Expansion options include an M.2 2230 E-key interface supporting PCIe and USB 2.0 signals, together with an M.2 3052 B-key interface, Nano SIM slot and optional eSIM support. These options provide scope for adding wireless or cellular communications according to application requirements. TPM 2.0 is available as an optional module.
The system includes a 128GB M.2 NVMe SSD connected through PCIe x4, with JetPack 6.2 pre-installed as the BSP. A Micro SD interface provides additional storage flexibility. Integrated Out-of-Band management supports remote system administration, while the wide 19 to 36VDC input and -25°C to +70°C operating temperature range help support deployment in industrial and embedded installations.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

WMG, University of Warwick’s Intelligent Vehicles research group works with a variety of industrial partners to address challenges presented by the concept of autonomous vehicles. Operating within this department is a multi-million pound funded project ‘Cloud assisted real time methods for autonomy’ (CARMA), working in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover and EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council).
