The Advantech MIC-78M10 is a compact 1-slot expansion i-Module designed for MIC-78 Series modular IPCs, providing a straightforward way to add a full-length PCIe card to a fanless or space-conscious edge system. Built around a single PCIe x16 slot, MIC-78M10 is ideal when you need one key expansion card such as a data acquisition interface, frame grabber, network adapter, or motion control card, while keeping the overall footprint tight for cabinet installations and industrial enclosures.
Like other modules in the MIC-78 i-Module family, MIC-78M10 supports PCIe/PCI add-on card expansion and benefits from the platform’s approach to power and thermal readiness. The series provides an additional 12VDC power source via an onboard connector to support cards that demand more power than the slot alone can supply, with up to 85W supported for add-on card consumption. This makes MIC-78M10 a strong choice for industrial systems that need reliable expansion without compromising stability.
Storage growth is supported via the i-Module backplane’s SATA and power provisioning, enabling practical expansion planning alongside the host system’s own storage. In the broader MIC-780 series storage architecture, the combination of system SATA and i-Module support can help scale total 2.5-inch HDD/SSD counts across the platform depending on configuration.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
