The TN-4516A-12PoE-4GPoE is an EN 50155-compliant managed Ethernet switch designed for railway and rolling stock applications. Built with rugged M12 connectors, it ensures secure, vibration-resistant connections suitable for trainborne and wayside environments.
This model features 12 Fast Ethernet M12 PoE ports and 4 Gigabit PoE uplinks, providing a high-capacity backbone while powering onboard devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones. Each port delivers up to 30 W (IEEE 802.3af/at), with a total power budget of 120 W. The broad 24–110 VDC isolated power input supports dual feeds for redundancy and universal deployment across railway systems worldwide.
Certified to EN 50155 mandatory tests for temperature, power insulation, surge, vibration, and ESD, the TN-4516A-12PoE-4GPoE is engineered to withstand harsh rail environments. Conformal coating options add protection against moisture, dust, and corrosive gases. The switch operates reliably over a temperature range of -40 to 75°C, ensuring consistent service in extreme climates.
Network resiliency is provided by Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery with 250 switches), along with STP/RSTP/MSTP. Advanced security features include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, SSH, and HTTPS, while management is simplified through web, CLI, Telnet, or SNMPv1/v2c/v3. Additional Layer 2 functions include VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP.
The TN-4516A-12PoE-4GPoE delivers robust, rail-certified networking with PoE capability, making it an ideal choice for powering and connecting onboard IP devices while ensuring reliable, redundant backbone communication in modern railway systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
