The TN-4516A-4GTXBP-WV-CT-T is a rail-certified managed switch that features bypass relay functionality and a conformal coating for use in harsh environments. With 12x Fast Ethernet M12 ports and 4x Gigabit uplinks, it provides flexible connectivity for onboard and wayside communication systems.
The bypass relay ensures that critical network paths remain active even if the switch loses power or undergoes servicing, thereby maintaining uninterrupted connectivity in safety-critical railway applications. Conformal coating protects against humidity, dust, and corrosive gases, extending operational reliability in challenging environments.
Certified to EN 50155 and supporting mandatory test items for surge, vibration, ESD, and insulation, the TN-4516A-4GTXBP-WV-CT-T is built for long-term deployment in rolling stock. Dual 24–110 VDC isolated power inputs provide redundant power resilience.
The switch delivers fast recovery with Turbo Ring/Chain (<20 ms) in addition to RSTP/MSTP. IEEE 802.1X, SSH, TACACS+, and HTTPS strengthen network security, while management tools include SNMPv1/v2c/v3, web, CLI, and Telnet. VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP further support complex network design.
Operating reliably from -40 to 75°C, the TN-4516A-4GTXBP-WV-CT-T is ideal for railway deployments requiring both bypass resilience and enhanced environmental protection.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
