The TN-4524A-16PoE is an EN 50155-compliant managed Ethernet switch designed for rolling stock and railway infrastructure. Featuring rugged M12 connectors, it ensures vibration-proof and shock-resistant connections suitable for trainborne and wayside communication systems.
This model features 24 Fast Ethernet M12 ports, of which 16 support IEEE 802.3af/at Power-over-Ethernet (PoE/PoE+), alongside 4 Gigabit uplinks for high-capacity backbone communication. Each PoE port supplies up to 30 W, with a total power budget of 120 W, making the switch capable of powering multiple onboard devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and passenger information systems.
The switch is certified to EN 50155 mandatory tests, covering temperature, surge, insulation, vibration, and ESD, ensuring compliance with railway standards. With dual isolated 24–110 VDC power inputs, the TN-4524A-16PoE provides redundant supply resilience, while its operating range of -40 to 75°C ensures reliable performance in harsh conditions.
Resiliency is provided through Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery at 250 switches), as well as RSTP/MSTP. Advanced security and management features include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, SSH, HTTPS, VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP, along with SNMPv1/v2c/v3 support. Operators can configure the switch via web, CLI, Telnet, or serial console.
With high PoE density, robust M12 connectors, and proven EN 50155 certification, the TN-4524A-16PoE is an excellent solution for powering and managing multiple onboard IP devices in modern rail systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
