The TN-4528A-16PoE-4GPoE-WV-T is an EN 50155-compliant managed M12 switch designed for powering and connecting multiple onboard devices in rolling stock networks. Equipped with 24 x Fast Ethernet M12 ports (16 x PoE) and 4 x Gigabit PoE uplinks, it provides both device access and high-bandwidth backbone capabilities.
Each PoE port delivers up to 30 W of power, in accordance with IEEE 802.3af/at standards, totalling 120 W to power cameras, wireless access points, and passenger information systems directly from the switch. Dual isolated 24–110 VDC inputs ensure resilient power redundancy, while the -40 to 75°C operating range guarantees reliable operation in harsh railway environments.
The switch complies with the mandatory items of EN 50155, including vibration, surge, insulation, temperature, and ESD, making it fully rail-certified. Rugged M12 connectors provide vibration- and shock-proof connectivity, ensuring stable cabling in trainborne installations.
Fast redundancy is enabled by Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery), along with standards-based RSTP/MSTP. Advanced security measures such as IEEE 802.1X, SSH, TACACS+, and HTTPS protect against unauthorised access. Layer 2 features, including VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP, provide efficient traffic management.
The TN-4528A-16PoE-4GPoE-WV-T combines Gigabit uplink performance, high-density PoE, and EN 50155 compliance, offering a dependable platform for Ethernet communication in trainborne and railway systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
