The TN-4908-WV-CT-T is the base model in the TN-4908 range. It provides eight 10/100BaseT(X) M12 D-coded ports, including two bypass relay pairs that maintain connectivity during a power or device failure. With EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 compliance, the unit is designed for harsh rolling-stock conditions, including vibration, shock, and extreme temperature swings.
The router supports standard Ethernet services including VLAN segmentation, quality of service traffic prioritisation, IGMP snooping and redundancy with Turbo Ring or RSTP. For routing, VRRP ensures continuity of service if a primary gateway fails. Administration is simplified through a browser-based GUI, CLI and LLDP topology discovery, helping engineers map and commission the train network quickly.
Power is provided by dual isolated 24–110 V DC inputs, with reverse-polarity and surge protection. The compact IP40-rated enclosure, conformal-coated PCB, and fanless cooling enable dependable operation from −40°C to 70°C.
The TN-4908-WV-CT-T is best suited to train-borne Fast Ethernet aggregation where reliability is critical and bandwidth demands are moderate. Typical uses include CCTV and intercom backbones, passenger information displays and signalling connections.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
