The ToughNet TN-5305A Series is a compact unmanaged Ethernet switch family designed specifically for demanding railway and industrial applications. Featuring five 10/100BaseT(X) M12 D-coded ports, these switches ensure secure, vibration-resistant connections ideal for rolling stock and harsh outdoor environments. With robust metal housings and an IP54 protection rating, the TN-5305A delivers reliable performance where conventional switches cannot.
Certified to the EN 50155 railway standard, the TN-5305A complies with all mandatory requirements including power input stability, surge immunity, ESD, and vibration resistance. The wide -40 to 70 °C operating temperature range and high EMC protection make it suitable for rolling stock, trackside, and other ruggedised deployments.
The TN-5305A supports full/half-duplex operation, auto-negotiation, and MDI/MDI-X auto-sensing, ensuring easy plug-and-play integration with existing Ethernet networks. With a packet buffer size of 768 kbits and a MAC address table of 2K, it delivers smooth packet forwarding for industrial communications.
Power is supplied through a single isolated DC input supporting a wide 24 to 110 VDC range (16.8 to 137.5 VDC operating), with overload, reverse polarity, and inrush current protection to ensure long-term reliability. Compact dimensions of just 62.4 x 125.4 x 37.5 mm and support for DIN-rail or wall-mount installation make deployment simple and flexible.
With a rugged die-cast design, long MTBF rating of over 6.6 million hours, and a 5-year warranty, the TN-5305A delivers proven reliability for mission-critical rail and industrial Ethernet applications.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
