The TSN-G5016-4XGS-SoMD-LV-T is the 10GbE uplink model in the TSN-G5016 Series, designed for industrial networks that need high-bandwidth switching, deterministic communication and rugged operation. It provides 16 ports in total, made up of 12 10/100/1000BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and four 10GbE SFP+ slots. This makes it particularly suitable for industrial network backbones, machine vision, edge computing, high-speed data aggregation, automation cells and applications where multiple Gigabit device connections need to feed into faster fibre uplinks.
The switch supports Time-sensitive Networking technology and includes standards such as hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP, IEEE 802.1AS time synchronisation and IEEE 802.1Qbv time-aware shaper. These features help support bounded low-latency communication and more predictable Ethernet behaviour in time-critical industrial systems. Standard Ethernet functions also include VLAN tagging, class of service, STP and RSTP.
Management features include a web-based GUI, IPv4/IPv6, LLDP, SNMPv1/v2c/v3, SNMP traps, DHCP server/client, Syslog, port mirroring, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH and Telnet. Security functions include broadcast storm protection, trusted access control, login and password policy, HTTPS/SSL, SSH, SNMPv3, RADIUS and TACACS+. This gives administrators a practical set of tools for configuration, monitoring and secure network management.
The TSN-G5016-4XGS-SoMD-LV-T supports up to 256 VLANs, VLAN IDs from 1 to 4094, a 9K MAC table and an 8 Mbit packet buffer. It also includes one RS-232 console port, one digital input, one relay alarm output and LED indicators for status, fault, power, master/head, client/tail, sync and ring states.
The switch accepts 12V to 48V DC input through redundant dual power inputs and supports a wider operating voltage range of 9.6V to 60V DC. Overload current and reverse polarity protection are supported. With an IP40 metal housing, DIN-rail mounting, optional wall mounting, -40°C to 70°C operation and 5-year warranty listed in the datasheet, this model is well suited to high-speed industrial TSN deployments. SFP+ modules are sold separately and should be selected to match the required fibre type and transmission distance.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
