The UC-8620A-T is an industrial Arm-based box computer designed for secure edge computing, data acquisition and remote communication applications. Powered by an Arm Cortex-A72 dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, it provides a dependable platform for connecting field equipment, collecting operational data and running embedded applications close to machines, sensors and infrastructure.
This model is built for wired industrial connectivity with optional LTE expansion. It includes four auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, eight RS-232/422/485 serial ports, two CAN 2.0A/CAN 2.0B ports, four digital inputs and four digital outputs. The serial ports are software-selectable, allowing the system to support a wide range of legacy and modern industrial devices without requiring separate interface hardware. The CAN ports include 3 kV isolation protection, while the Ethernet interface includes built-in 1.5 kV magnetic isolation protection, helping improve reliability in electrically demanding environments.
For storage, the UC-8620A-T includes pre-installed 32 GB eMMC, one microSD socket and one M.2 M key 2242 PCIe socket for SSD expansion. It also includes an mPCIe slot reserved for LTE, making it suitable for remote installations where cellular communication is required. With dual SIM support and external antenna connections, the system can be configured for applications such as remote monitoring, utility infrastructure, transport, energy assets and distributed industrial gateways.
The UC-8620A-T runs Moxa Industrial Linux 4 as standard, with a secure Linux option available through CTO ordering. It also includes TPM 2.0, secure boot, host-based intrusion detection, secure update, disk encryption and one-step recovery. The system supports 12 to 48 VDC power input, consumes around 15 W, and operates from -40°C to 75°C without accessories. Housed in a compact metal IP30 enclosure measuring 200 x 120 x 40.5 mm, the UC-8620A-T is well suited to long-life industrial deployments where rugged connectivity, security and remote communication options are important.
