The AIMB-289 A2 is a Mini-ITX industrial motherboard designed for compact embedded systems that require current-generation Intel Core processor support, multiple display outputs and strong onboard connectivity in a 170 mm x 170 mm form factor. Based on the Intel H610E chipset, the board supports 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors, as well as Intel Core 200S processors, giving system builders a flexible platform for industrial PCs, automation systems, kiosks, embedded controllers, machine monitoring, digital signage and compact edge computing applications.
The board supports dual-channel DDR5 memory up to 5600 MT/s, with two 262-pin SO-DIMM sockets and a maximum capacity of 96GB. This provides enough memory headroom for modern operating systems, industrial software, visualisation applications and multitasking workloads. Power is supplied through a 12V to 24V DC input via DC jack, making the board practical for embedded and industrial enclosure designs.
Display support includes one HDMI 2.1 TMDS output, one DisplayPort 1.4b output and one internal LVDS or optional eDP interface. HDMI and DisplayPort support up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz, while LVDS supports up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz. Triple independent display support allows the AIMB-289 A2 to drive operator screens, embedded panels and external monitors from a single board.
Connectivity includes three Intel I226-V 2.5GbE LAN ports, two SATA III ports, four USB 2.0 headers, rear USB 3.2 connectivity, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, audio, 8-bit GPIO and four serial ports. COM1 supports RS-232 with 5V or 12V selection, COM2 and COM3 support RS-232/422/485, and COM4 supports RS-232. Expansion includes one PCIe x4 Gen3 slot, one M.2 E-Key 2230 socket for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and an A2-specific M.2 M-Key 2242/3042 socket for SSD or 4G, with M.2 B-Key available as a BOM option. With TPM 2.0, watchdog timer support, SUSI API, WISE-DeviceOn support and 0°C to 60°C operation, the AIMB-289 A2 is a capable Mini-ITX platform for compact industrial systems.
