The ARK-1222-S5A1 is a DIN-rail fanless embedded box PC based on the Intel Atom x7433RE quad-core processor. Designed for industrial applications that need reliable operation across a wider temperature range, this model is particularly suited to factory automation, transportation, energy, remote monitoring, control cabinets and edge gateway deployments where low-power computing and rugged construction are important.
This model includes 16GB built-in DDR5 4800MHz memory, giving it a fixed memory configuration suitable for industrial operating systems, control software, monitoring tools and gateway workloads. Graphics output is provided through two HDMI 2.0 ports, each supporting up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz, allowing dual 4K display use for HMI panels, dashboards, diagnostics or local visualisation. The compact 60 x 158 x 114 mm aluminium chassis is designed for DIN-rail mounting as standard, with wall and VESA mounting available as optional accessories.
Connectivity is a major strength of the ARK-1222-S5A1. It provides two Intel i226-IT LAN ports supporting 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps Ethernet and Wake-on-LAN, four RS-232/422/485 serial ports with auto flow control, two USB 3.2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, 8-bit programmable DIO, mic-in and line-out audio, and optional CANBus support. This makes the unit practical for connecting PLCs, meters, sensors, controllers, legacy serial devices and industrial networks.
Expansion is supported through one M.2 B-Key 2280 slot with nano SIM holder, one M.2 E-Key 2230 slot, and one full-size mini PCIe slot shared with mSATA. These interfaces allow integration of wireless modules, storage, CANBus or iDoor expansion depending on the project. The ARK-1222-S5A1 supports 12V to 28V DC input, TPM 2.0, watchdog timer functionality, Windows 10/11 Enterprise and Ubuntu 24.04. With a listed operating temperature of -40°C to 70°C when used with suitable extended temperature peripherals and airflow, this model is a strong choice for harsher industrial environments.
