The ARK-1222-S8A1 is the higher-performance model in the ARK-1222 range, featuring the Intel Core i3-N305 octa-core processor. It is designed for industrial applications that need more processing headroom than the N97 or x7433RE variants while retaining a compact DIN-rail fanless form factor. This makes it suitable for edge computing, industrial control, multi-device communication, machine monitoring, smart infrastructure, gateway applications and local visualisation systems.
The i3-N305 processor provides eight cores, giving the ARK-1222-S8A1 additional capability for multitasking, data handling and more demanding embedded applications. The system includes 16GB built-in DDR5 4800MHz memory, supporting modern operating systems and industrial software environments. Dual HDMI 2.0 outputs support up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz, allowing two 4K displays to be used for operator interfaces, production dashboards, monitoring screens or local diagnostics.
Connectivity is broad for such a compact system. The ARK-1222-S8A1 includes two Intel i226-IT LAN ports with 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps support and Wake-on-LAN, four RS-232/422/485 serial ports with auto flow control, two USB 3.2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, 8-bit programmable DIO, mic-in and line-out audio, and optional CANBus support. This makes it suitable for connecting industrial controllers, sensors, meters, serial devices, networked equipment and local peripherals.
Expansion options include one M.2 B-Key 2280 slot with nano SIM holder, one M.2 E-Key 2230 slot, and one full-size mini PCIe slot shared with mSATA. These interfaces provide scope for storage, wireless communication, Hailo module configuration by request, iDoor expansion or other application-specific integration. The ARK-1222-S8A1 also supports 12V to 28V DC input, TPM 2.0, watchdog timer functionality, Windows 10/11 Enterprise and Ubuntu 24.04. With fanless aluminium construction, DIN-rail mounting, optional wall and VESA mounting, and operation from -20°C to 60°C with suitable airflow, this model is well suited to compact industrial deployments that require the strongest CPU option in the ARK-1222 family.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
