The Advantech ECU-579-SSDDU is the flexible-power variant of the ECU-579 2U power automation server platform, supporting 100-240VAC, 100-240VDC and 48VDC power requirements. Designed for IEC 61850-3 power and energy applications, the system is intended for centralised substation protection and control environments where reliability, system availability and compatibility with differing power infrastructures are important. The ECU-579-SSDDU is listed as a Taiwan country-of-origin configuration and provides the broadest power-input support of the four ECU-579 ordering options shown by Advantech.
The server is based on 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and the Intel C621 chipset. Compatible CPU options include the Intel Xeon Gold 6238T offering 22 cores, Xeon Gold 5218T offering 16 cores and Xeon Silver 4209T offering 8 cores. Up to 768GB of DDR4 ECC RDIMM/LRDIMM memory can be installed across twelve DIMM sockets, allowing the platform to support demanding processing, monitoring and virtualisation workloads.
Integrated communications include four Intel I210 Gigabit Ethernet ports providing 2,500V isolation, alongside BMC, IPMI 2.0 and SNMP remote-management support. For storage, up to four hot-swappable 2.5-inch SATA SSDs can be installed, with Intel RST RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support. An additional M.2 slot supports SATA or NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 storage.
Extensive PCIe expansion provides scope for additional network and application-specific interfaces. Advantech lists optional copper and fibre Ethernet interfaces, HSR/PRP cards, isolated RS-232/422/485 communications, isolated digital I/O and IRIG-B among the available expansion choices.
Designed for demanding industrial environments, the ECU-579 platform provides four hot-swappable high-speed cooling fans and two hot-swappable 800W redundant power supplies. It supports an operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, subject to processor and configuration, and carries IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 certifications for power automation environments.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
