The EDS-405A Series comprises compact, entry-level managed Layer 2 switches for harsh industrial environments. Each unit delivers five 10/100Base-T(X) ports, and fibre variants add two 100Base-FX SC or ST uplinks to extend distance and cut electrical noise. Resilience comes built in with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain, offering sub-20 ms recovery (at up to 250 switches), alongside standards-based RSTP/STP and ring coupling for flexible topologies.
Engineers get the management tools they expect: web GUI, CLI, Telnet or serial console, Windows utility, and ABC-01 for quick device cloning. Traffic control features include IGMP snooping, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN and port-based VLAN,quality of service (IEEE 802.1p and ToS/DiffServ), bandwidth management, and port mirroring for online diagnostics. For interoperability, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP are supported across the range, with dedicated part numbers available that come PROFINET or EtherNet/IP ready out of the box.
Designed for reliability, EDS-405A supports dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs with reverse polarity and overload protection, metal IP30 housing, DIN-rail or wall mounting, and wide-temperature options (- -10 to 60°C standard, -40 to 75°C wide-temp). Alarm relay and DI help integrate the switch with control systems for condition monitoring and event notification. With MXstudio software support, operators can visualise, configure, and maintain networks at scale.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
