The AAEON GENE-TWL5 is a compact 3.5-inch subcompact board designed for embedded systems that need modern processing, flexible I/O and stable operation in space-constrained installations. Built around Intel Processor N-series platform options, the GENE-TWL5 gives system designers a practical foundation for industrial control, embedded HMI, gateway, kiosk and automation applications where size, power flexibility and connectivity all matter. Despite its compact footprint, it delivers a strong feature set that makes it suitable for both new designs and platform upgrades.
This board supports up to 16GB of DDR5 4800 memory via a single SODIMM slot and offers a broad display mix that includes HDMI, VGA and LVDS, with support for up to three simultaneous displays. That makes it a good fit for applications that need both legacy display support and modern visual output. Connectivity is equally strong, with dual Intel 2.5GbE LAN ports for faster wired networking, USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for high-speed peripherals, and four internal USB 2.0 connections for additional expansion. Storage and add-in flexibility are also well covered through SATA, full-size mPCIe or mSATA, M.2 3052 B-Key and M.2 2230 E-Key support, allowing the board to be adapted for wireless modules, storage and communications functions.
For embedded and industrial integration, the GENE-TWL5 also includes four COM ports, GPIO, SMBus or I2C, touch support, a smart fan header, nano SIM support and TPM 2.0 security. A wide 9–36V DC input range helps simplify power design across varied deployment environments, while support for Windows 10, Windows 11 and Ubuntu adds software flexibility. With operating temperatures from -20 to 70°C, the GENE-TWL5 is well suited to reliable embedded computing where compact size and adaptable I/O are key priorities.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
