The Cisco IE3505 Rugged Series is a family of advanced modular industrial Ethernet switches designed for Operational Technology networks requiring high availability, resilient communications and secure connectivity in demanding environments. Built on the Cisco IE3500 Rugged platform, the IE3505 adds advanced redundancy capabilities including High-Availability Seamless Redundancy, Parallel Redundancy Protocol and Device Level Ring, making it particularly suited to applications where network interruption must be minimised.
Base configurations provide eight Gigabit Ethernet copper ports alongside three 100 Mbps/1GbE SFP uplinks. Standard copper and PoE/PoE+ variants are available, allowing the platform to support conventional industrial Ethernet devices or powered equipment such as cameras, wireless access points and other edge devices.
The modular design allows additional IE3500 expansion modules to be attached to the switch. Available options include copper Ethernet, SFP fibre, mixed copper and fibre, PoE and multigigabit interfaces. Depending on the selected module, the 11-port base configuration can expand to as many as 27 Ethernet ports. PoE versions can support a total PoE power budget of up to 480 W when combined with an appropriate expansion module and power supply.
For resilient industrial communications, the IE3505 supports HSR, PRP and DLR alongside Media Redundancy Protocol, Resilient Ethernet Protocol and standard spanning-tree technologies. IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol supports accurate network timing, while IEEE 802.1Qbu and IEEE 802.3br frame pre-emption helps reduce latency and jitter for time-sensitive traffic.
Security capabilities include Secure Boot, MACsec, IEEE 802.1X, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, access control lists and secure management protocols. Cisco Cyber Vision supports OT asset visibility, while Secure Equipment Access provides controlled remote connectivity.
Management options include local WebUI and CLI access, Cisco Catalyst Center and supported Meraki cloud management. Fanless construction, dual DC power inputs and industrial environmental compliance make the IE3505 suitable for automation, transport, power and other critical infrastructure networks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
