The IMB550 is an ATX industrial motherboard designed for high-performance embedded systems, rackmount computers, workstation-class industrial PCs and expansion-heavy edge computing applications. Built around the Intel W880 chipset and an LGA1851 socket, the board supports Intel Core Ultra 9, Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 processors with support for CPUs up to 125W. This makes it a strong platform for applications that need modern processing capability, long lifecycle industrial design and flexible system integration.
The IMB550 supports four 288-pin DDR5-5600 long-DIMM sockets with capacity up to 192GB. Both ECC and non-ECC unbuffered memory are supported, making the board suitable for systems where memory capacity, reliability and performance are important. Storage is supported through two M.2 Key M 2280 sockets using PCIe x4 via the CPU, with RAID 0/1 support, as well as four SATA-600 ports with RAID 0/1/5/10 support for additional storage flexibility.
Expansion is one of the main strengths of the IMB550. The board provides two PCIe x16 slots with PCIe Gen 5 support for GPU cards, alongside five open-ended PCIe x4 slots from the chipset. The expansion layout makes it suitable for graphics cards, vision cards, data acquisition cards, network adaptors, motion control cards and other specialist industrial add-ons. The CPU socket layout is also optimised for rackmount airflow, which is useful when building high-performance 1U, 2U or 4U systems.
The IMB550 also includes DisplayPort++ and HDMI display outputs, dual 2.5GbE LAN, one additional 1GbE LAN, USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB 2.0, audio, PS/2, serial ports, 8-channel programmable DIO, SMBus, TPM 2.0 and watchdog timer support. Optional IPMI 2.0 remote management through OpenBMC is also available, helping support managed industrial and rackmount deployments. With a 305 x 244 mm ATX form factor and 0°C to 60°C operation, the IMB550 is a capable foundation for modern industrial computing platforms.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
