The IMC-P21A-G2-M-SC is a DIN-rail mount industrial media converter that combines PoE+ Fast Ethernet with 100Base-FX multi-mode fibre connectivity. Designed for applications where Ethernet devices need to be powered and connected over fibre, it provides a reliable way to bridge copper Ethernet and fibre networks in industrial automation, surveillance, transport, utilities, building systems and remote monitoring installations.
This model is supplied with one 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 PoE port and one 100Base-FX multi-mode SC fibre port. The RJ45 interface supports auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDI-X, helping simplify deployment with connected Ethernet equipment. As a PoE power source device, the IMC-P21A-G2-M-SC supports IEEE 802.3af PoE and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards. It can provide up to 30W in standard PoE+ operation, with high-power output up to 36W for industrial devices that require additional power headroom.
The multi-mode SC fibre interface is suitable for short and medium fibre runs, with the datasheet listing typical transmission distances of up to 2 km on 62.5/125 µm OM1 fibre and up to 5 km on 50/125 µm OM2, OM3 or OM4 fibre. This makes it useful for site-wide fibre connections where copper Ethernet would be limited by distance or affected by electrical noise. Fibre connectivity also helps improve EMI immunity, which is especially valuable in industrial environments with motors, drives, machinery or outdoor cabling.
The IMC-P21A-G2-M-SC supports store-and-forward mode and pass-through mode, giving users flexibility in how data is handled across the conversion path. PoE diagnostics and Link Fault Pass-through help with commissioning and troubleshooting by making power and link issues easier to identify. The device features 1.5 kV magnetic isolation protection, a compact metal housing, DIN-rail installation and redundant dual DC inputs from 44 to 57 VDC. With overload current protection and -10°C to 60°C operation, the IMC-P21A-G2-M-SC is a practical multi-mode SC solution for reliable PoE+ Ethernet-to-fibre conversion.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
