The IMC-P21A-G2-M-ST is an industrial PoE+ Fast Ethernet-to-fibre media converter designed to connect 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet devices to 100Base-FX multi-mode fibre networks using an ST connector. It is suitable for industrial applications that need stable copper-to-fibre conversion, PoE device power and improved noise immunity across plant, building, transport, security or automation networks.
This model includes one 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 PoE port and one 100Base-FX multi-mode ST fibre port. It supports IEEE 802.3af PoE and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards, allowing it to power compatible Ethernet devices directly from the converter and reduce the need for separate power cabling at the device end. The converter provides up to 30W PoE+ output in standard operation, with high-power output up to 36W available for heavier-duty powered devices. This makes it suitable for equipment such as IP surveillance cameras, wireless access points, IP phones and industrial Ethernet devices requiring power and data through one RJ45 connection.
The multi-mode fibre interface supports 100Base-FX communication and is designed for short to medium fibre links. The datasheet lists typical multi-mode distances of up to 2 km using 62.5/125 µm OM1 fibre and up to 5 km using 50/125 µm OM2, OM3 or OM4 fibre. This makes the IMC-P21A-G2-M-ST a good fit for facilities where fibre runs need to extend beyond copper Ethernet limits while remaining within a site or campus environment.
For network flexibility and diagnostics, the unit supports store-and-forward mode, pass-through mode, PoE diagnostics and Link Fault Pass-through. It also supports 10/100M auto-negotiation, auto-MDI/MDI-X and 1.5 kV magnetic isolation protection on the Ethernet interface. The converter is housed in a compact metal enclosure for DIN-rail mounting and supports redundant dual DC power inputs from 44 to 57 VDC. With overload current protection, -10°C to 60°C operation and a 5-year warranty period listed in the datasheet, the IMC-P21A-G2-M-ST is a reliable choice for multi-mode ST PoE+ fibre conversion.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
