The Advantech MIC-785 is a compact, fanless modular IPC designed for high performance edge computing in demanding industrial environments. Built on the AMD AM5 platform, it supports Ryzen Embedded 7000 and 9000 series and EPYC 4005 processors, bringing high frequency CPU capability and strong integrated graphics for applications such as machine vision, automated inspection, advanced HMI, and high end machine control.
For data-heavy workloads and virtualised industrial software stacks, the MIC-785 supports dual-channel DDR5 5200 memory with up to 96GB capacity, helping deliver fast response times for analytics, AI inference at the edge, and multi-process control systems. Multi-display support is a key advantage, with the platform enabling three independent displays and up to 4K output via DisplayPort and HDMI, ideal for control rooms, operator stations, and visualisation-led automation.
Connectivity and expansion are engineered for real deployments. The MIC-785 includes versatile industrial I O including dual Intel Gigabit Ethernet, multiple USB 3.2 ports, and serial communications, while storage options cover both 2.5 inch SSD or HDD bays and an NVMe M.2 slot with RAID support for resilience. Reliability features include a programmable watchdog timer for automatic system recovery, wide 12 to 36VDC power input, and an IP40 dust-proof chassis. With one-side I O aligned to the MIC-770 and MIC-780 family, cabling is simpler inside cabinets and enclosures.
To tailor systems for specific projects, the MIC-785 supports FlexIO, iDoor, and iModule expansion, plus Advantech SUSI and embedded software APIs and out of band management via iBMC 1.2, making it a strong fit for maintainable, scalable industrial edge solutions.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
