The PICO51RPGG-CELERON-3965U is the value-focused option in the Axiomtek PICO51R Pico-ITX range, using the onboard Intel Celeron 3965U processor for efficient, low-power embedded computing. It is an excellent choice for cost-sensitive industrial systems that still need strong connectivity and long-term platform stability, such as thin client HMIs, machine monitoring terminals, simple kiosks, access control systems, serial-to-IP gateways and compact industrial controllers.
Even at this tier, the board maintains the same practical I/O and integration features as the wider PICO51R family. DisplayPort++ supports modern digital displays, while LVDS (18/24-bit, single or dual channel) enables clean embedded panel integration for slim enclosures and sealed front panels. Dual Gigabit Ethernet is provided via Intel I219-LM and Intel I210-AT controllers, with Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot support to help with remote provisioning, updates and fleet management.
For peripherals and field devices, the PICO51RPGG-CELERON-3965U includes two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, alongside two serial interfaces supporting RS-232/422/485, which is ideal for integrating PLCs, drives, measurement devices and legacy sensors. A 4-channel programmable digital I/O block supports straightforward machine signalling, triggers and alarm interfacing without needing extra hardware.
The platform is designed to stay flexible as requirements evolve. An M.2 Key B 2242 slot supports SATA, USB 2.0 and optional PCIe x2 for storage and expansion, while an M.2 Key E 2230 slot adds PCIe x1 and USB 2.0 for wireless or specialist modules. With up to 16 GB DDR4 memory support, 12 V DC input, auto power-on and a hardware watchdog, this variant is a dependable foundation for always-on embedded deployments.
