The Moxa RKS-G4030-PL-PoE-8QGT-6XGS-T is a high-density modular managed Ethernet switch with support for IEEE 802.3bt PoE expansion. It is designed for industrial networks that require 10GbE backbone connectivity, multigigabit copper ports and the option to power high-demand Ethernet devices through the same rackmount switch platform.
The switch includes six fixed 1000/2500/10000BaseSFP ports and eight fixed 10/100/1000/2500BaseT(X) RJ45 ports. Two modular interface slots can add up to 16 further Gigabit Ethernet ports. Compatible modules include the RM-G4000-PL-8GTX copper module, RM-G4000-PL-8GSFP fibre module and RM-G4000-PL-8GPoE PoE module.
When configured with the RM-G4000-PL-8GPoE module, individual ports can supply up to 15.4 W under IEEE 802.3af, 30 W under IEEE 802.3at or 90 W under IEEE 802.3bt. The switch supports a total PoE power budget of up to 720 W when dual PoE-capable power modules are installed. The available power budget and the requirements of each connected device should be considered when specifying the complete system.
PoE operation requires either a PWR-310-LV-P or PWR-310-HV-P power module and an external 48 to 57 VDC PoE supply. Moxa recommends at least 53 VDC for PoE+ devices. Power modules, external supplies, expansion modules and SFP transceivers are purchased separately.
The switch supports hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP, including the IEC 61850-9-3 and IEEE C37.238-2017 power profiles. It also provides GOOSE Check and MMS functionality for power utility networks. Redundancy options include Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain, MRP, STP, RSTP and MSTP.
Security capabilities include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, secure boot and IEEE 802.1AE MAC security. The switch is certified to IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2.
The RKS-G4030-PL-PoE-8QGT-6XGS-T operates from -40 to 75°C and complies with IEC 61850-3 Edition 2.0, IEEE 1613 Class 2, EN 50121-4 and NEMA TS2. It has an IP40-rated 1U rackmount enclosure measuring 440 x 44 x 387 mm, weighs 5.49 kg and has a stated MTBF of 1,167,504 hours.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
