The Moxa RM-G4000-PL Module Series provides configurable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for RKS-G4000-PL modular managed switches. Developed for use with the IEC 61850-3-compliant RKS-G4000-PL platform, the modules allow engineers to select the connection type required by each network design rather than relying on a fixed port configuration.
Three module options are available, each providing eight Gigabit Ethernet ports. The RM-G4000-PL-8GTX offers eight 10/100/1000BaseT(X) RJ45 ports for conventional copper Ethernet connections. The RM-G4000-PL-8GSFP provides eight 100/1000BaseSFP slots, allowing suitable fibre transceivers to be selected according to the transmission distance, fibre type and operating environment. The RM-G4000-PL-8GPoE combines eight Gigabit RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3bt PoE capability for powering compatible network devices.
The PoE module can provide up to 90 W per port, with a total power budget of 240 W per module. This makes it suitable for higher-power devices that cannot be supported by earlier PoE standards. Its PoE functionality is available only when the module is installed in a compatible RKS-G4000-PL PoE switch model.
All RM-G4000-PL modules are hot-swappable, supporting easier maintenance and configuration changes within a compatible switch installation. They are designed for temperatures from -40 to 75°C and comply with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 requirements for communications equipment used in power utility environments. The modules support full-duplex communication only; half-duplex operation is not supported.
By combining copper, fibre and high-power PoE options within the same modular switch platform, the RM-G4000-PL Series enables network configurations to be adapted around the needs of each installation. RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
