The TN-5510A-8PoE Series combines connectivity and power in a single EN 50155-compliant managed switch, designed for use in rolling stock and railway environments. It provides 10x ports in total: 8x Fast Ethernet M12 ports with IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, each capable of supplying up to 30 W, and 2x Gigabit uplinks available in copper, fibre, or bypass relay variants.
PoE (Power over Ethernet) support enables the switch to directly power onboard devices, such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones, thereby reducing cabling and installation costs. Dual 24–110 VDC isolated redundant power inputs ensure resilience in railway systems. An IP54-rated enclosure with M12 connectors ensures vibration-proof and dust-resistant operation.
Certified to EN 50155, EN 50121-4, IEC 60571, IEC 61373, and EN 45545-2 fire safety, the switch meets stringent requirements for shock, vibration, EMI, and fire resilience. Conformal-coated variants are available for additional PCB protection against moisture and corrosion.
Resiliency is delivered by Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy with <20 ms recovery across 250 switches, as well as standards-based RSTP and MSTP. Cybersecurity includes IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACLs, HTTPS, SSH, and SNMPv3. Traffic optimisation features include VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and LACP link aggregation.
With full PoE capability, Gigabit uplink options, and rugged railway compliance, the TN-5510A-8PoE Series is ideal for powering and connecting mission-critical onboard networks such as CCTV, passenger Wi-Fi, and signalling systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
