The TN-G6500 Series is a family of EN 50155-compliant, full-gigabit M12 managed switches designed for railway and other rolling stock applications. Each unit provides 12 Gigabit Ethernet ports, including 8 IEEE 802.3af/at PoE ports (up to 30 W per port, totalling 240 W) and four copper interfaces.
The switches feature rugged, push-pull M12 connectors for secure and vibration-resistant installation. With an IP67-rated metal housing, isolated dual power inputs (24–110 VDC), and a broad operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C, the TN-G6500 Series withstands harsh railway and industrial environments.
Redundancy protocols include Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<50 ms recovery across 250 switches) plus standards-based RSTP/STP. Cybersecurity and management features include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, ACLs, port lock, and bandwidth control. Advanced functions cover VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, LACP, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET integration.
The TN-G6500 Series complies with EN 50155, EN 50121-4, IEC 60571, IEC 61373 for shock/vibration, EN 45545-2 for fire safety, and IEC 62368-1 for safety. A conformal-coated model offers enhanced PCB protection for high-humidity or corrosive environments.
Compact, IP67-hardened, and equipped with PoE for powering onboard devices such as IP cameras, wireless APs, and VoIP phones, the TN-G6500 is a robust solution for rolling stock and mission-critical rail networks.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
