The AIMB-279QF-EDB1 is a Q670E Mini-ITX industrial motherboard designed for compact embedded systems that require modern Intel Core processor support, high-speed expansion and strong display flexibility. It supports 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors, plus Intel Core 200S processors, giving system builders a wide range of CPU choices from lower-power embedded options through to higher-core industrial computing configurations.
This model supports dual-channel DDR5 non-ECC memory up to 5600 MHz, with two SODIMM sockets and capacity up to 96GB. This makes it suitable for demanding embedded applications such as machine vision, industrial automation, multi-screen visualisation, digital signage, control systems, kiosks and edge computing workloads where a compact board still needs strong processing and memory resources.
The AIMB-279QF-EDB1 uses the Intel Q670E chipset and is especially suited to display-led systems. The ordering table lists one HDMI output, two DisplayPort outputs and an LVDS/eDP configuration shown as (1)/1, indicating eDP as the standard configuration with LVDS available as a BOM option. With Q670E support for up to four independent displays, this board is a strong option for compact systems that need embedded panel output through eDP alongside rear display outputs.
Expansion is handled through one PCIe x16 Gen4 slot, allowing integration of a discrete GPU, accelerator card, storage controller, vision card or other high-speed add-in device. Onboard expansion also includes one M.2 M-Key socket for storage and one M.2 E-Key socket for wireless connectivity. Storage support is further expanded through two SATA III ports.
Connectivity includes one GbE LAN using Intel i219 and one 2.5GbE LAN using Intel i226, giving the board a useful mix of standard and higher-speed networking. USB support includes four USB 3.2 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. Industrial I/O includes two serial ports, with COM1 supporting RS-232 and COM2 supporting RS-232/422/485, plus 8-bit GPIO and audio.
The AIMB-279QF-EDB1 also includes TPM, AMP, watchdog timer and 12V to 24V power input via ATX 8-pin connector and 5VSB header. With WISE-DeviceOn and embedded API support, Windows 11 and Ubuntu image options, and 0°C to 60°C operation depending on CPU speed and cooling solution, it is a flexible Mini-ITX platform for eDP-focused industrial display systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
