The AIMB-279QF-EDB1U is a Q670E Mini-ITX motherboard variant in the AIMB-279 B1 range, offering the same high-feature Q670E platform with an eDP-focused display configuration. It is designed for compact embedded and industrial systems that require 12th, 13th or 14th Gen Intel Core processor support, Intel Core 200S compatibility, DDR5 memory, PCIe Gen4 expansion and multiple display outputs in a 170 mm x 170 mm board format.
This model supports dual-channel DDR5 SODIMM memory up to 5600 MHz, with two 262-pin sockets and capacity up to 96GB. This makes it suitable for industrial control software, multi-display visual applications, digital signage, machine vision support, compact edge computing and applications that need more memory capacity than many smaller embedded platforms can offer.
The AIMB-279QF-EDB1U is based on the Intel Q670E chipset and includes one HDMI output, two DisplayPort outputs and an LVDS/eDP configuration shown as (1)/1 in the ordering information. This indicates eDP as the primary display interface, with LVDS available through BOM configuration. Q670E models support up to four independent displays, making this board a useful choice for embedded display terminals, multi-screen operator interfaces and compact systems requiring both external display outputs and internal panel connectivity.
Expansion options include one PCIe x16 Gen4 slot for a GPU, accelerator, capture card or other add-in device. The board also includes one M.2 M-Key socket for storage and one M.2 E-Key socket for wireless modules. Two SATA III ports are available for additional storage, while rear and internal I/O provide four USB 3.2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, audio, two serial ports and 8-bit GPIO.
Networking is provided by one Intel i219 GbE LAN port and one Intel i226 2.5GbE LAN port. The model also includes TPM and AMP support according to the ordering table, plus watchdog timer, WISE-DeviceOn support and embedded software APIs. With 12V to 24V power input, Windows 11 and Ubuntu image support, and 0°C to 60°C operation depending on CPU and cooling solution, the AIMB-279QF-EDB1U is well suited to compact Q670E systems requiring eDP-led display integration.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
