The Moxa DA-920E-X08-HW is a mixed-power configuration of the DA-920E fanless 2U industrial server, combining one high-voltage AC/DC power module with one wide-range DC power module. This configuration provides additional flexibility for installations where different supply types are available or where a system design requires two independent power sources with different voltage characteristics.

At the centre of the system is an eight-core Intel Xeon D-1834 processor. Four DDR4 RDIMM/UDIMM slots support up to 256GB of ECC memory, with up to 64GB per slot and speeds of up to 2666 MHz. This provides the processor and memory resources required for industrial server, virtualisation and virtualised protection, automation and control applications.

Storage capability includes four 2.5-inch SATA SSD bays, supporting Intel RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, plus an M.2 M-key 2280 interface supporting NVMe PCIe Gen 3 x2 storage.

The integrated Ethernet configuration consists of three 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps ports and two 10/100/1000 Mbps ports. A dedicated management interface provides access to the integrated BMC, which supports IPMI, Redfish and a web UI for out-of-band server management.

Two 2 kV isolated RS-232/422/485 serial ports provide industrial serial connectivity. Expansion options comprise one PCIe Gen 4 x16, one PCIe Gen 3 x8 and one PCIe Gen 3 x4 low-profile slot. Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are also available, together with DisplayPort and HDMI display outputs.

The key distinction of the DA-920E-X08-HW is its mixed pair of hot-swappable power modules. One DA-PWR-200-HV module supports nominal 100 to 240 VAC/VDC input with a 90 to 264 VAC/VDC operating range. The second DA-PWR-200-WV supports nominal 24 to 110 VDC input with a 21.6 to 121 VDC operating range.

The DA-920E-X08-HW operates from -25 to 55°C and complies with IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 and IEC 60255 for power automation applications, as well as EN 50121-4 for railway wayside environments. TPM 2.0 and UEFI Secure Boot further support deployment in security-conscious critical infrastructure systems.

Publishing note: the datasheet explicitly states that the DA-920E requires additional modules sold separately to function. Memory, storage and other required options should therefore be confirmed as part of the final configured system rather than implying that a complete ready-to-run specification is included with the base model.
