Moxa

The Moxa DA-920E-X08-W is a fanless 2U rackmount industrial server designed for installations using wide-range DC power. It combines an eight-core Intel Xeon D-1834 processor with extensive memory, storage, networking and PCIe expansion capabilities while meeting standards required for power automation and other critical industrial environments.

Four DDR4 RDIMM/UDIMM memory slots support up to 256GB of ECC memory. Individual modules can provide up to 64GB at speeds of up to 2666 MHz, allowing the system to accommodate memory-intensive applications and virtualised protection, automation and control workloads.

Storage options include four 2.5-inch SATA SSD bays with support for Intel RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. An M.2 M-key 2280 socket provides additional NVMe PCIe Gen 3 x2 storage capability.

For networking, the DA-920E-X08-W provides three 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps Ethernet ports and two 10/100/1000 Mbps ports. One dedicated management LAN works alongside the integrated BMC to provide out-of-band management using IPMI, Redfish and a web interface. This enables administrators to monitor and manage the server independently of the primary operating system network connection.

Two software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial interfaces provide 2 kV isolation and support 2-wire and 4-wire RS-485 modes. Expansion is provided through one PCIe Gen 4 x16, one PCIe Gen 3 x8 and one PCIe Gen 3 x4 low-profile slot. Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, DisplayPort and HDMI interfaces provide further peripheral and display connectivity.

The DA-920E-X08-W is supplied with one DA-PWR-200-WV hot-swappable DC power module. The module accepts nominal 24 to 110 VDC input and operates across a 21.6 to 121 VDC range, differentiating this model from the high-voltage AC/DC DA-920E configurations.

With a -25 to 55°C operating range, the DA-920E-X08-W is compliant with IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 and IEC 60255, alongside EN 50121-4 for railway wayside applications. TPM 2.0 and UEFI Secure Boot provide additional security functionality.
