The EDS-205A-M-SC combines four copper RJ45 ports with one SC multi-mode fibre port, providing cost-effective unmanaged switching for networks that need both local device connectivity and short-to-medium distance fibre runs. Supporting distances of up to 4 km, the SC fibre port makes it easy to extend networks beyond copper limitations.
Built in a rugged IP30 aluminium enclosure, the switch is certified for hazardous locations (Class I Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2), as well as transportation and maritime standards. Its compact size and DIN-rail mounting simplify deployment in industrial panels and field enclosures.
Reliability features include redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs, overload and reverse polarity protection, and DIP switch-controlled broadcast storm protection. High EMI/EMC immunity ensures stable performance even in electrically noisy environments, while 100% burn-in testing guarantees proven field reliability.
With an operating temperature range of -10°C to +60°C, the EDS-205A-M-SC is ideal for automation, utilities, and monitoring networks where a mix of copper and fibre is required.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
