The EDS-205A-S-SC provides long-distance fibre integration with four copper RJ45 ports and one single-mode SC fibre port. Supporting fibre runs up to 40 km, it is designed for inter-building connections, utility backbones, and wide-area industrial networks.
Built in an IP30-rated aluminium enclosure, the switch carries hazardous, transport, and maritime approvals for safe use in critical applications. Its compact size and DIN-rail installation make it easy to deploy in cabinets and field enclosures.
Key reliability features include redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs, overload and reverse polarity protection, and DIP switch-controlled broadcast storm protection. The switch is tested for shock, vibration, and EMC resilience, ensuring stable long-term performance.
Operating from -10°C to +60°C, the EDS-205A-S-SC is suitable for factories, utilities, and process networks requiring unmanaged, long-reach fibre.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
