The EDS-205A-M-ST is designed for networks that rely on the widely used ST fibre connector. With four copper RJ45 ports and one ST multi-mode fibre port, it supports distances up to 4 km, making it easy to extend Ethernet networks between buildings or across industrial sites.
The switch features a rugged IP30-rated aluminium enclosure and has been certified for hazardous locations, transportation systems, and maritime use. DIN-rail mounting simplifies installation in control cabinets and utility boxes.
Broadcast storm protection can be enabled using DIP switches to maintain stable operation in traffic-heavy networks. Redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs with overload and reverse polarity protection ensure resilience in critical applications. Strong EMI/EMC immunity adds further reliability in noisy industrial environments.
Operating from -10°C to +60°C, the EDS-205A-M-ST is suited to automation, process control, and monitoring systems where ST fibre is in use. With an MTBF above 3 million hours and a 5-year warranty, it offers proven stability.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
