The EDS-208A-M-SC blends seven 10/100 RJ45 copper ports with one 100BaseFX SC multi-mode fibre port to extend networks over typical multi-mode distances (up to ~4 km). It’s a practical choice when you need local device fan-out and a short-to-medium fibre run to a control room or cabinet.
Housed in an IP30 aluminium enclosure, the unit supports DIN-rail and wall mounting for fast, tidy integration. Broadcast storm protection is available via DIP switch to steady traffic during peak activity. Redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC inputs (9.6–60 VDC range) with overload and reverse polarity protection provide power resilience in industrial sites.
The switch carries approvals for hazardous locations (ATEX, Class I Div. 2), transport (EN 50121-4, NEMA TS2, e-Mark), and maritime (ABS, DNV-GL, LR, NK), and is tested for EMI/EMC immunity, shock, vibration, and freefall. 100% burn-in testing ensures consistent reliability after installation.
Operating from -10°C to +60°C, the EDS-208A-M-SC is well-suited to process automation, factory floors, and monitoring systems that need a simple copper-to-fibre bridge without the complexity of a managed switch.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
