The EDS-4008-2MSC-HV-T is a rugged, managed Layer 2 Fast Ethernet switch designed for industrial networks that need a compact form factor with high reliability. Whether used in brownfield upgrades or new builds, it helps operators harden OT networks with consistent security controls and fast recovery from faults, while keeping installation simple and predictable.
The switch provides six 10/100BaseTX RJ45 ports and two 100BaseFX multi-mode SC fibre ports, enabling a mix of local copper connections with long-distance fibre or high-speed uplinks. Network resilience is built in with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (sub-20 ms recovery under typical loads) alongside RSTP/STP for standards-based redundancy. Additional traffic optimisation features include quality of service, IGMP Snooping/Querier, port trunking with LACP, and port mirroring supporting deterministic traffic for control, video, and telemetry.
Certified to IEC 62443-4-1 and IEC 62443-4-2, the EDS-4008-2MSC-HV-T supports VLAN segmentation, user authentication, access control, and event logging for secure operation. Management and monitoring are streamlined with MXstudio, LLDP, SNMPv1/v2c/v3, and a rich web/CLI interface for flexible administration in diverse environments.
This model supports 88V to 300V DC or 85V to 264V AC power input, matching common control-panel and field-cabinet supplies without the need for extra conversion hardware. It features an IP40 metal enclosure, fanless cooling, DIN-rail mounting, and status LEDs plus a fault relay output to simplify diagnostics and maintenance. Operating temperature is rated from –40 °C to 75 °C, ensuring dependable service in harsh outdoor locations, unconditioned roadside cabinets, and exposed industrial sites.
Ideal for demanding sectors such as power substations, rail signalling, and distributed transport infrastructure, the EDS-4008-2MSC-HV-T is well-suited to environments where high-voltage feeds and fibre backbones are common

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
