The EDS-4008-2GT-2GS-LV is a rugged managed Layer 2 Fast Ethernet switch designed for industrial networks that require a compact and highly reliable solution. It features four 10/100BaseTX RJ45 access ports, two 10/100/1000BaseT(X) Gigabit uplinks, and two 100/1000Base SFP slots, allowing for a combination of local copper connections and long-distance fibre or high-speed uplinks, depending on the specific variant.
Certified to IEC 62443-4-1 and IEC 62443-4-2, this switch ensures secure operation through VLAN segmentation, user authentication, access control, and event logging. Network resilience is achieved through Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain, which provide recovery times of less than 20 milliseconds under typical loads, along with RSTP/STP for standards-based redundancy.
Powering options are versatile, supporting a Dual Power Input range of 9.6V to 60V DC, which is compatible with common control-panel and field-cabinet supplies without the need for extra conversion hardware. The switch features a robust IP40 metal enclosure, fanless cooling, and DIN-rail mounting for easy installation. It also includes status LEDs and a fault relay output to facilitate diagnostics and maintenance.
The operating temperature range is –10 °C to 60 °C, ensuring reliable performance in indoor control rooms, equipment racks, and sheltered industrial cabinets. Management and monitoring are simplified with tools such as MXstudio, LLDP, SNMPv1/v2c/v3, and a comprehensive web/CLI interface. Additional features like Quality of Service (quality of service), IGMP Snooping/Querier, port trunking with LACP, and port mirroring help optimise deterministic traffic for applications involving control, video, and telemetry.
Typical applications include aggregation points that require Gigabit uplinks and flexible SFP expansion from a Fast Ethernet edge. Whether used for brownfield upgrades or new installations, the EDS-4008-2GT-2GS-LV assists operators in strengthening their operational technology (OT) networks with consistent security controls and swift fault recovery, while keeping the installation process straightforward and predictable.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
