The EDS-516A-MM-ST integrates 14 copper ports with two multi-mode ST connectors, providing up to 4 km fibre backbone reach alongside dense local access. ST fibre is commonly used in legacy industrial sites and the EDS-516A-MM-ST offers an upgrade path to modern managed switching without re-terminating fibre plants.
It supports Turbo Ring/Turbo Chain redundancy for <20 ms recovery, plus STP/RSTP/MSTP. Traffic determinism is maintained via VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping/GMRP, bandwidth management, and RMON. Protocol integration includes EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET, with fleet management through MXstudio. Configuration is available via web GUI, CLI, Telnet/serial console, and ABC-01 for rapid recovery.
The switch features dual 24 VDC inputs (12–45 VDC), reverse polarity and over-current protection, with alarm relay. The IP30 enclosure mounts to DIN-rail or wall, tested for shock, vibration, EMC, and certified for ATEX/CID2 and DNV-GL. Operating range is 0 to +60 °C.
With 8K MAC entries, 256 IGMP groups, and a 2 Mbit buffer, the EDS-516A-MM-ST is suited to fibre retrofits, machinery cells, and control networks needing SCADA integration and reliable fault recovery.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
