The EDS-516A-MM-ST-T is the wide-temperature version of the ST fibre model, providing 14 RJ-45 copper and 2x MM-ST fibre ports for 4 km runs in extreme environments. It’s designed for roadside cabinets, substations and marine systems where ST fibre is already in use.
Redundancy is ensured via Turbo Ring/Turbo Chain with <20 ms failover and STP/RSTP/MSTP for standards-based loops. The switch delivers traffic control with VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping, bandwidth management, RMON, and port mirroring. OT protocol support includes EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET. Management is possible via web, CLI, Telnet/serial, or MXstudio, with ABC-01 simplifying device replacement.
The rugged platform uses an IP30 enclosure with DIN-rail/wall mounting, dual 24 VDC inputs (12–45 VDC), and protections for reverse polarity and over-current. It includes an alarm relay for fault signalling. Rated for -40 to +75 °C, it’s tested to IEC for shock, vibration, and certified for ATEX/CID2 hazardous locations, marine DNV-GL, and EN 61000-6-2/-6-4 EMC.
With 8K MAC, 256 IGMP groups, 2 Mbit buffer, and a 5-year warranty, the EDS-516A-MM-ST-T is the robust choice for fibre-heavy networks in extreme climates.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
