The Advantech MIC-712P-OX3A2 is an 8GB NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX edge AI computer designed for system integration, intelligent vision and mobile equipment applications. It combines a compact industrial enclosure with NVIDIA accelerated computing, extensive PoE networking and flexible storage and communications expansion. The OX3A2 configuration uses the 8GB Jetson Orin NX module and supports NVIDIA Super Mode, while the ordering table does not list JetPack or an NVMe SSD as pre-installed, allowing integrators to configure the software environment and storage around their own project requirements.
The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB platform incorporates a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE v8.2 64-bit CPU together with 8GB LPDDR5 memory. GPU acceleration is provided by a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores, enabling the system to perform AI inference and machine vision processing directly at the edge. Advantech also specifies support for NVIDIA Super Mode across the MIC-712P-OX family, expanding the available AI processing capability for suitable workloads.
Camera and network connectivity is provided through six Gigabit PoE interfaces capable of supplying up to 30W per port, with individual port control and a combined PoE power budget of 150W. This makes the system particularly suitable for multi-camera vision systems where compatible PoE cameras need to be powered and connected directly to the edge computer. Two further Gigabit Ethernet ports are available for network uplink, control or additional connected devices.
Four USB 3.2 Gen2 connections provide additional high-speed I/O, while HDMI supports output resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz. The system includes M.2 E-key and B-key expansion, nano-SIM support and optional eSIM capability for wireless and mobile communications. Optional TPM 2.0 can provide an additional hardware security layer.
An M.2 2280 PCIe x4 interface allows NVMe storage to be selected according to application requirements, while Micro SD provides additional storage flexibility. The system accepts 19 to 36VDC input and supports a wide operating temperature range subject to the selected power mode and airflow. Combined with out-of-band management, shock and vibration resistance and its compact footprint, the MIC-712P-OX3A2 provides a flexible foundation for custom 8GB Jetson Orin NX edge AI systems.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
