The Advantech MIC-712P-OX4A2 is a compact edge AI computer based on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module. Designed for system integrators that require a high-memory Jetson platform while retaining flexibility over software and storage configuration, the OX4A2 combines NVIDIA accelerated processing with six PoE Ethernet interfaces, additional Gigabit networking and a broad range of expansion options. The ordering information identifies this configuration with the 16GB Orin NX module and NVIDIA Super Mode support, while JetPack and NVMe storage are not listed as pre-installed.
At the heart of the system is the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module. This incorporates an 8-core NVIDIA Arm Cortex-A78AE v8.2 64-bit CPU, 16GB LPDDR5 memory and a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores. Advantech specifies support for NVIDIA Super Mode with AI performance of up to 157 TOPS, giving the system the processing capability required for complex machine vision, intelligent video analytics, object recognition and other accelerated edge workloads.
Six Gigabit PoE Ethernet ports form a key part of the system's vision-oriented architecture. Each port supports up to 30W with individual control, while the complete PoE subsystem provides a 150W total power budget. This allows multiple compatible network cameras or powered devices to connect directly to the MIC-712P-OX4A2. Two additional Gigabit Ethernet interfaces provide dedicated connectivity for external networks or other system devices.
Four USB 3.2 Gen2 interfaces support high-speed peripherals, while HDMI output supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz. Expansion options include M.2 E-key and B-key interfaces, a nano-SIM slot, optional eSIM and optional TPM 2.0 security. Storage can be configured through the M.2 2280 PCIe x4 interface, with Micro SD also available.
The MIC-712P-OX4A2 supports 19 to 36VDC input and wide-temperature operation, with operating limits dependent on the selected power mode and airflow. Integrated out-of-band management provides additional remote administration capability. This combination makes the OX4A2 well suited to OEM and integration projects where the powerful 16GB Orin NX platform is required but storage and software need to be selected separately for the final application.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
