The TN-4528A-16PoE-4GPoE is an EN 50155-compliant managed Ethernet switch designed for high-density onboard networking in railway applications. Rugged M12 connectors ensure vibration-resistant and shock-proof connections for reliable service in rolling stock and wayside environments.
This model features 24 Fast Ethernet M12 ports, 16 of which support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+, in addition to 4 Gigabit PoE uplinks. Each PoE port delivers up to 30 W, with a total power budget of 120 W, allowing for the direct powering of multiple IP cameras, wireless access points, and passenger information systems. With 4x Gigabit uplinks, the switch ensures high-bandwidth backbone communication for trainborne applications.
Certified to EN 50155 mandatory items, the TN-4528A-16PoE-4GPoE is designed for railway compliance, covering vibration, ESD, surge, power insulation, and wide temperature performance. Dual isolated 24–110 VDC inputs provide redundant power feeds, increasing operational resilience. The -40 to 75°C operating range ensures consistent reliability across diverse climates.
Resiliency features include Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery across 250 switches) plus RSTP/MSTP for standards-based redundancy. Security and management features include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, SSH, HTTPS, VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP. The switch supports management via SNMPv1/v2c/v3, web, CLI, and Telnet.
The TN-4528A-16PoE-4GPoE offers a high PoE port count, Gigabit uplink capacity, and EN 50155 rail certification, making it an ideal solution for powering and managing complex onboard IP systems in modern trains.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
